All Aboard! That’s right, it’s been 4 years
and The Girl Blue Project
is still running strong. So
climb on our Girl Blue “spiritual love train”
cause we are headed for the land of Self-Empowerment.
First stop- FABULOUSVILLE.
Is that a place? If you don’t know, you betta’
ask somebody-like Kaypri (Kathryn Priscilla) our new creative
writing teacher. She is definitely fabulous. Ms. Kaypri
is a graduate of Howard University. She is a professional
playwright, screenwriter and author of BABYGIRL-
the coming of age sitcom/drama of a girlchildwoman/media-codependa-lova-holic.
Pheww- now that’s a mouthful! She’s definitely
got more than a few creative words to share with Girl Blue.
Though this train is local, Girl Blue has picked up an international
passenger. We are proud to announce Ms. Gabriela Garcia
Medina as our acting teacher for this session. Ms. Gaby
was born in Moscow and raised in Cuba. She is a UCLA graduate
and proud member of WISE (Womyn Inspiring Spiritual/Social
Expression). As the Artistic Director of the Human Writes
Project- which promotes crosscontinental community through
performance and culture, she has shared her talents in Brazil,
Spain, Britain and South Africa! She is taking The
Girl Blue Project to an international level
and we welcome her-in every language. Just when
you thought this train had everything it needed to make
it to the Land of Self-Empowerment
we had to make one more stop to get some MONEY,
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!!!! Yeah, you heard me.
The next stop has to be PROSPERITY
VILLAGE. The Girl Blue Project will have
its first Money Management
class. Lets face it ladies, one must know how to budget
and invest her money in order to obtain her state of fabulousness
in FABULOUSVILLE. If you want to have that Girl Blue Glow,
you gotta learn how the money flows. ( I sound like
Jesse during his Rainbow Coalition days- wink) And
last but not least, we welcome Ms.
Barbara Gaines, our new Etiquette
Coach aboard the Girl Blue “spiritual
love train.” We are going old school
on ya’ll. So put aside your sneakers and bring your
heels. It’s time for us to get back to the days of
“Please” and “May I” and setting
the table for dinner. It’s a lost art but we are happy
we found Ms. Gaines. We also have a surprise workshop on
Fridays taught by Board Member, Mattie
Singleton. You are going to have so much
fun CREATING!!! So if you are ready to come aboard, we welcome
you with open arms. There is NO CHARGE to ride our “spiritual
love train.” Your ticket is commitment and openness.
The Girl Blue Project dates are July
5th through August 18th, Monday through Friday
from 8am to 3pm. ALL APPLICATIONS
MUST BE RECEIVED BY JUNE 30TH. DON’T MISS THE
